While Carroll County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Portland Christian Eagles by a score of 11-6 on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four games in a row.

Carroll County's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Portland Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Carroll County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-2 defeat against Shelby County on the 12th. As for Portland Christian, they will welcome Fern Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
