Football Game Preview: Addison Bulldogs vs. Vina Red Devils + How To Watch

Addison has gone a perfect 3-0 against Vina recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will take on the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Addison is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 47.4 points per game this season.

Addison is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Meek: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs blew the Tigers out of the water with a 55-22 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 32-point advantage.

It was another big night for Elijah Roberts, who rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 180 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 passes. Those 180 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zayne Smith, who rushed for 65 yards and a pair of scores.

Addison's defense stepped up as well, laying out Evan McCay three times. In that department, Casen Hill was the leader with two sacks. Addison got some further help from Conner Lane: he made six total tackles and snagged two interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Vina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Waterloo and fell 38-8.

The win made it two in a row for Addison and bumps their season record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 22 points in those games. As for Vina, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Addison against Vina when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
