Baseball Recap: Treasure Coast Falls Short of Vero Beach in the Playoffs

Treasure Coast and Vero Beach squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Treasure Coast had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 7-6. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Treasure Coast got a good showing from Hunter Wilson, who struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Wilson has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Treasure Coast saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charles Permann, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Jacob Sanchez, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Treasure Coast's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Vero Beach, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-1.

Treasure Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vero Beach, they will face off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
