Volleyball Recap: Stanley-Boyd's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Stanley-Boyd hadn't done well against Regis recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Orioles came out on top against the Ramblers by a score of 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Orioles as they're now sitting on nine straight.

While Stanley-Boyd might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Regis scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 19-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Kelly Lew paced Stanley-Boyd's offense, picking up 21 kills. Lew got some help from Bailey Sikora and her 40 assists. Lew was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Despite the loss, Regis still got an impressive performance from Olivia Haselwander, who had 18 digs and one assist. Haselwander is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Stanley-Boyd's victory bumped their record up to 27-3. As for Regis, their defeat ended a ten-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 26-7.

Stanley-Boyd didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Prairie du Chien on the 4th. As for Regis, they will head out on the road to square off against Cadott at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
