Boardman is 0-4 against Hoover since May of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Spartans will host the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Boardman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Boardman came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-3 to Gilmour Academy.

Boardman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lanie Joyce, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run. Kate Thames was another, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Hoover came into Saturday's game having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over Marlington on Saturday.

Boardman's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Hoover, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
