Football Recap: Bluffton Takes a Loss

Bluffton and Gilbert squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Bluffton had to settle for second. They took a hard 38-21 fall against the Indians. It was the first time this season that the Bobcats let down their fans at home.

Despite the loss, Bluffton still got an impressive performance from Aedan McCarthy, who threw for 339 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 41 yards. A healthy portion of McCarthy's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Roman Benjamin.

Bluffton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Gilbert, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Bluffton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gilbert, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-7 loss against North Augusta on the 14th.
