Soccer Game Preview: Berean Christian vs. Highlands Christian

The Berean Christian Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Highlands Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Highlands Christian is hoping to do what Sports Leadership & Management couldn't back in December of 2024: put an end to Berean Christian's winning streak, which now stands at five games. Berean Christian's defense stepped up to hand Sports Leadership & Management a 5-0 shutout. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

Nicolas Leon and Aiden Lickman scored all five of Berean Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Highlands Christian's and Westminster Academy's contest on Tuesday was close at halftime, but Highlands Christian turned on the heat in the second half with four goals. Highlands Christian was the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Westminster Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Berean Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight matchups. As for Highlands Christian, the win got them back to even at 6-6-2.
