Volleyball Game Preview: Sinton Pirates vs. Calhoun Sandcrabs

Sinton hasn't had much luck against Calhoun recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pirates will take on the Sandcrabs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sinton barely beat Rockport-Fulton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Sinton put the hurt on Rockport-Fulton with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

Sinton's got stronger as the match went on, holding Rockport-Fulton to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-15.

Jones typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Calhoun proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Trojans.

Calhoun was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 17-25, 25-22, 25-14.

Calhoun is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11 record this season. As for Sinton, the win got them back to even at 15-15.

Sinton suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Calhoun in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
