Basketball Recap: Oswego Takes a Loss

Oswego lost against Metea Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Oswego Panthers received a blow as they fell 77-59 to the Metea Valley Mustangs. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 18 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Oswego and nudges their season record down to 6-7. As for Metea Valley, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

Oswego and Metea Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Oswego (ranked 208th) will meet Plainfield Central (ranked 666th) at 6:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Meanwhile, Metea Valley will square off against Naperville Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025 up 148 places (111 vs. 259).
