West Morris Mendham had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They escaped with a win on Tuesday against the Payne Tech Lions by the margin of a single free throw, 57-56. Winning may never get old, but the Minutemen sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

West Morris Mendham's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Payne Tech, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-8.

Coming up, West Morris Mendham will square off against Colonia on Friday. Colonia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully West Morris Mendham likes a good challenge. Payne Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
