Softball Recap: Atlanta Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Atlanta barely beat New Boston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Atlanta's pitcher stepped up to hand New Boston an 11-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Rabbits might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Gabby Arredondo was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Atlanta let Ella Garrett and Keirsten Underwood run wild. Garrett went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Underwood went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Fiscus, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Atlanta's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-7-1. As for New Boston, they dropped their record down to 5-11-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Atlanta and New Boston will both be playing Redwater the next time they take the field. Atlanta will head out to face Redwater at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while New Boston will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
