Thatcher extended their winning streak  to three  on Friday, bumping their season record up to 9-12 in the process. Everything went their way against the Safford Bulldogs as they made off with  an  8-2 win. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the   14-9 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
As for Safford,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 10-10. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by  exactly six  runs.
For Safford's part,  Dylan Broderick was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and five unearned) runs off   four  hits (and only one walk). What's more,  Broderick gave up only one  walk, the fewest he's  had since back in February.
 On the hitting side, Safford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cole Goodman, who  went 2-for-3 with one  RBI. Another  was  Carlos Arbizo, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thatcher will take on Payson at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Safford, they will face off against Palo Verde at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Titans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last.
