Basketball Game Preview: Denver South Ravens vs. George Washington Patriots

Denver South hasn't had much luck against George Washington recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Denver South Ravens will square off against the George Washington Patriots at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Denver South's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Denver South duked it out withNorthfield on Friday. Denver South fell to Northfield 69-65.

Despite the defeat, Denver South got top-tier performance from Dominic Rhoades-Martinez, who posted 23 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Rhoades-Martinez, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 18 points.

Meanwhile, George Washington can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 67-59 win over Vista PEAK Prep. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Bison are ranked 121st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Denver South's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for George Washington, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-6.
