Basketball Game Preview: Bishop's Knights vs. Santa Fe Christian Eagles

Bishop hasn't had much luck against Santa Fe Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bishop's Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Santa Fe Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Bishop's is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 59-40 to Francis Parker. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Lancers are ranked 125th).

Meanwhile, Santa Fe Christian waltzed into their game last Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 64-43 victory. Santa Fe Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Santa Fe Christian pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points per game. As for Bishop's, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Bishop's came up short against Santa Fe Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 68-59. Can Bishop's avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
