Football Recap: Williamsport Millionaires vs. Jersey Shore Bulldogs
Williamsport lost against Jersey Shore back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Millionaires had to suffer through a 67-40 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Millionaires can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 124th).

Despite the defeat, Williamsport saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tevin Williams threw for 331 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 119 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Those 331 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Williams. Trey Damschroder also helped with three touchdowns in total.

Jersey Shore was led to victory by Bo Sechrist and Nolen Pauling. Sechrist gained 202 total yards and four touchdowns, while Pauling rushed for 168 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries. Sechrist also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making four total tackles. Another rusher making a difference was Kash Herritt, who rushed for 117 yards and one TD on only six carries.
Williamsport suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Jersey Shore, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamsport will square off against Shamokin Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Millionaires will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Jersey Shore, they will face off against Hollidaysburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Tigers' defense has only allowed 14.3 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
