Basketball Game Preview: Central Dauphin East Panthers vs. Carlisle Thundering Herd

The Central Dauphin East Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Carlisle Thundering Herd at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Dauphin East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Central Dauphin East turned things around against Middletown on Saturday. They came out on top against the Blue Raiders by a score of 58-47. The win was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 115th).

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Carlisle, as they earned their first road win of the season. They secured a 58-54 W over State College last Friday.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-3. As for Central Dauphin East, their record is now 2-7.

Central Dauphin East came up short against Carlisle in their previous meeting back in January, falling 73-66. Can Central Dauphin East avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
