Softball Game Preview: Richwoods Knights vs. Centennial Chargers

Richwoods is 1-6 against Centennial since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Knights will take on the Chargers at 10:00 a.m. Richwoods has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Richwoods couldn't beat Peoria Notre Dame on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Knights came up short against the Irish, falling 16-7.

Meanwhile, Centennial fell victim to Glenwood and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 16-0 to the Titans. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Richwoods, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Richwoods suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Centennial in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
