Softball Recap: Wilmington Christian Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Wilmington Christian Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Scotland Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Saints. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Amelia Naylor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
