Basketball Recap: Lewisville Lions vs. McBee Panthers
It was a proper cat-fight when Lewisville took on McBee on Monday. The Lewisville Lions took a 73-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McBee Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 77-51 back in December of 2024.
McBee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jakari Holloman out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Holloman is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Hayden Griggs, who posted 18 points and eight boards.
Lewisville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for McBee, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.
Lewisville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-56 loss against Great Falls on the 14th. As for McBee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-37 win against Riverwalk Academy on the 11th.
