Baseball Recap: Branson Comes Up Short

Branson fell victim to Archie Williams and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peregrine Falcons. The loss continues a trend for the Bulls in their meetings with the Peregrine Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Branson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mo Jacoby, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Leo Diaz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Branson now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Archie Williams, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Branson will square off against Tamalpais at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Archie Williams, they will take on Maria Carrillo at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Archie Williams' pitchers better be ready for this one: Maria Carrillo has averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
