Soccer Recap: South Lake Plays to a Tie

It was a Battle of the Birds when South Lake challenged Lake Minneola on Thursday. Neither the South Lake Eagles nor the Lake Minneola Hawks could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Eagles have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

With that draw, South Lake's record moves to 4-6-4. Meanwhile, Lake Minneola's record is now 3-3-2.

South Lake wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Citrus on the 10th. As for Lake Minneola, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Lake Gibson on the 10th.
