Baseball Game Preview: Saltillo Tigers vs. George County Rebels

For the second straight game, Saltillo will face off against George County. The Tigers will challenge the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Saltillo will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Saltillo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over George County.

For George County's part, Preston McAdory was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. McAdory has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Blane Green was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Saltillo's win bumped their record up to 26-5. As for George County, they moved to 24-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
