Softball Recap: Lincoln Abes vs. North Thurston Rams
Lincoln came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the North Thurston Rams, falling 19-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Abes of the 15-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2016.
Joy Wilde made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for North Thurston, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.
Coming up, Lincoln is taking a road trip to square off against Gig Harbor at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Thurston, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lakes at 4:00 p.m. The Lancers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.73 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
