The Napoleon Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Liberty Center Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Napoleon's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Liberty Center's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Napoleon took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Southview with a sharp 16-1 win. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Arianna Kiessling (Jr) made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That double was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Addy Thompson Jr) was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Kendall Horner (Jr) was another key player, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.
Napoleon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Liberty Center didn't have quite enough to beat Swanton on Monday and fell 6-4.
Aubrey Zeiter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Krugh, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
The win got Napoleon back to even at 4-4-1. As for Liberty Center, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Napoleon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Liberty Center struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Napoleon skirted past Liberty Center 4-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
