Basketball Recap: Granville Christian Academy Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Granville Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the Northside Christian Lions with a sharp 42-20 win on Tuesday. Granville Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.

Granville Christian Academy was led to victory by Skyler Weekley and Brynn Flowers. Weekley posted 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Flowers put up 13 points and seven boards. What's more, Weekley also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah Hamilton, who had two points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Granville Christian Academy's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points per game. As for Northside Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Granville Christian Academy will head out to take on Tree of Life Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northside Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Madison Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th.
