Basketball Game Preview: Adams-Friendship Green Devils vs. Westfield Area Pioneers

Adams-Friendship hasn't had much luck against Westfield Area recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Adams-Friendship Green Devils will host the Westfield Area Pioneers at 7:00 p.m.

Adams-Friendship is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They were outmatched by Wisconsin Dells and fell 67-24. While losing is never fun, the Green Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Chiefs are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, Westfield Area had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Falcons 68-27. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Westfield Area pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Adams-Friendship, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
