Volleyball Recap: Oakville Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Oakville duked it out with Northwest on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Oakville took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-16, 23-25, 25-15, 15-10.

Nate Czuppon paced Oakville's offense, picking up 15 kills. Czuppon got some help from Will Olwig and his 43 assists. Finally, Isaac Kraft kept Oakville's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Oakville's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Northwest, their win bumped their record up to 14-12-1.

Oakville has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Mehlville on the 1st. Northwest has also already played their next game (against Seckman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
