Volleyball Recap: Kane Takes a Loss

Kane lost against Johnsonburg on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolves came up short against the Rams, falling 3-0.

Kane was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-23.

Leading Johnsonburg to victory were Gracie Cherry and Mari Dennis. Cherry had 14 digs and two aces, while Dennis had 31 digs and three aces. Cherry is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season.

Kane's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Johnsonburg, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Kane will square off against Otto-Eldred at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Johnsonburg, they will challenge Bradford at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
