Football Recap: Reed-Custer Comes Up Short

Reed-Custer lost against Wilmington back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Comets were outmatched by the Wildcats and fell 54-6. The game marked the Comets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Reed-Custer and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Wilmington, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Reed-Custer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilmington, they will face off against Coal City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wildcats 7.4, the Coalers 9) so any points scored will be well earned.
