Basketball Recap: Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons Comes Up Short

Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals. Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as LeRoy-Ostrander apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Leading LeRoy-Ostrander to victory were Benita Nolt and Miranda Nagel. Nolt posted 19 points along with six boards and four steals, while Nagel dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds. Nagel is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played. Maria Almaraz-Nolt was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons' defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-21.
