Football Recap: Johnson-Brock Skates Past Omaha Christian with Ease

Johnson-Brock won the last time they faced Omaha Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles took their matchup with ease, bagging a 66-6 victory over the Guardians. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Leading Johnson-Brock to victory were Hayden Gravatt and Wyatt Fulton. Gravatt rushed for 193 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry, while Fulton rushed for 82 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Fulton a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Johnson-Brock was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 372 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Johnson-Brock didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brody Koehler and Coy Behrends.

The win made it two in a row for Johnson-Brock and bumps their season record up to 5-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-5 Freeman and 2-5 Omaha Christian. As for Omaha Christian, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Johnson-Brock will take on Lourdes Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Omaha Christian, they will challenge Freeman on Friday.
