Basketball Recap: Virginia Episcopal School Takes a Loss

After soaring to 69 points the game before, Virginia Episcopal School was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They were beaten by the St. Christopher's Saints 65-22. The contest marked the Bishops' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Bishops players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Dewey, who posted four points and five steals. Those five steals gave Dewey a new career-high.

Virginia Episcopal School's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-17. As for St. Christopher's, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

Virginia Episcopal School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-71 defeat against Hargrave Military Academy on the 10th. As for St. Christopher's, they will challenge St. Anne's-Belfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Christopher's has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
