Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Ridge). They blew past the South Sumter Raiders 8-0 on Friday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Raiders are ranked 516th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four games. As for South Sumter, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

East Ridge didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 defeat against Windermere on the 9th.
