Volleyball Recap: Fort Loramie Beats Botkins for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Fort Loramie came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Botkins Trojans. The Redskins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Fort Loramie never let Botkins on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Jenna Hoying paced Fort Loramie's offense, picking up eight kills. Hoying got some help from Tessa Boerger and her 23 assists. Charleigh Albers and Addie Barhorst kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Botkins lost, don't look at Kambree Walters. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs. Walters is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Fort Loramie's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Botkins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Fort Loramie has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Versailles on the 30th. As for Botkins, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Fairlawn on the 28th.
