Jay County is 8-1 against Woodlan since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Patriots will take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jay County managed to slip by Norwell the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 14-4 to the Knights on Tuesday.

Andrew Schemenaur was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Myers, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Woodlan fell victim to Leo and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 12-0. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Woodlan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Linker, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Woodlan's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Jay County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2.

Jay County skirted past Woodlan 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
