Volleyball Recap: Concordia Academy Takes a Loss

Concordia Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Hawley Nuggets by a score of 2-1.

Ella Bohren paced Concordia Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bohren got some help from Piper Sutherland and her ten assists. Julia Stage controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Hannah Stotts, who had 13 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave her a new career-high.

Concordia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hawley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Coincidentally, Concordia Academy and Hawley will both be playing Watertown-Mayer the next time they take the court. The Beacons will head out to face the Royals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Nuggets will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
