Basketball Game Preview: Marion Scarlet Hurricanes vs. Ridgeview Wolfpack

Marion is 0-3 against Ridgeview since February of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Marion Scarlet Hurricanes will venture away from home to square off against the Ridgeview Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Marion took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 victory over Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Ridgeview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Falcons 56-53.

Marion is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. Ridgeview's win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Marion might still be hurting after the 68-42 loss they got from Ridgeview in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Marion avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
