Basketball Game Preview: St. Paul's Episcopal Saints vs. UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs

UMS-Wright Prep is facing St. Paul's Episcopal at the wrong time: St. Paul's Episcopal suffered their first home loss of the season on Tuesday and they're likely out for redemption. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to the Admirals. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Saints came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Admirals are ranked 211th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for UMS-Wright Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 39-32 win over Orange Beach on Tuesday. The 39-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

St. Paul's Episcopal's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-5. As for UMS-Wright Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

St. Paul's Episcopal didn't have too much breathing room in their match against UMS-Wright Prep in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 57-53 victory.
