Preview: Tennessee Heat vs. Freedom C Cowboys
The Tennessee Heat will face off against the Freedom C Cowboys at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Saturday, Tennessee Heat faced Sacred Heart of Jesus in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Tennessee Heat breezed by Sacred Heart of Jesus on the road to the tune of 41-6. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Tennessee Heat just coasted through the last quarter.
Wyatt Sutton was his usual excellent self, picking up 77 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Luke Mathews, who threw for 100 yards and three touchdowns.
Tennessee Heat's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Nate Williams and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, even though Tri-Cities Christian scored an imposing 32 points on Friday, Freedom C still came out on top. Everything went Freedom C's way against Tri-Cities Christian as Freedom C made off with a 56-32 victory. The victory was just what Freedom C needed coming off of a 46-14 loss in their prior contest.
The victory (which was Tennessee Heat's third in a row) raised their record to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.7 points per game. As for Freedom C, their victory bumped their record up to 5-5.
Everything came up roses for Tennessee Heat against Freedom C in their previous matchup two weeks ago as the team secured a 46-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tennessee Heat since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
