Football Recap: Watertown Takes a Loss

Watertown lost against Gordonsville back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Purple Tigers fell 17-6 to the Tigers.

Gordonsville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was J Foster, who threw for 188 yards and one touchdown. Turner Bucher handled things on the ground, rushing for 88 yards.

Watertown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gordonsville, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Watertown has already played their next contest, a 31-0 victory against DeKalb County on the 5th. As for Gordonsville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 42-12 win against Fayetteville on the 5th.
