Game recap: Mission Viejo High School Football Team wins against El Toro

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. - Mission Viejo (Calif.) snapped El Toro (Lake Forest, Calif.)'s 9-game winning streak, with a 49-7 victory on Saturday.

The Diablos were up 21-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Ian Fieber to Sean Modster in the first quarter.

Mission Viejo expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. MV's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by Alex Suchesk.

With the win the Diablos extended their winning streak to 10 games. Mission Viejo defeated the Mustangs 35-12 last week.

Dominic Collins played well for the Chargers. The junior wide receiver caught one touchdown. He has now scored 10 touchdowns on the season.

MV's standout player in the win was Fieber. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns.



El Toro's lone touchdown came on a 4-yard pass from Conner Manning to Collins in the second quarter.

Led by Max Redfield, the Diablos came into the game allowing 16.0 points per game. ET's seven points were well below its season average of 47.2 per game.

The loss comes after El Toro defeated Trabuco Hills 35-17 last week.
