Basketball Recap: Elmore County Comes Up Short

Elmore County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Rams. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-29 last Thursday.

Elmore County's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.

Elmore County will venture away from home to square off against Beauregard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Russell County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Mckenzie Word and Kayden Dooley.
