Basketball Recap: John Adams Beats Flushing for Their Fourth Straight Victory

John Adams entered their tilt with Flushing on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victor by a 36-15 margin over the Flushing Red Devils. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Red Devils are ranked 440th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

John Adams has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points per game. As for Flushing, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

John Adams will challenge Townsend Harris at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Flushing, they will host Bayside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
