Basketball Game Preview: Irving Tigers vs. MacArthur Cardinals

Irving is 1-9 against MacArthur since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Irving Tigers take on the MacArthur Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

On Friday, Irving ended up a good deal behind Berkner and lost 36-18.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-25, which was the final score in MacArthur's tilt against Pearce on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1155th, while the Mustangs are ranked 304th).

Irving's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for MacArthur, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
