The Bishop Watterson Eagles were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past the Northwest Knights 49-12. Considering the Eagles have won seven games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bishop Watterson found their leader in sophomore Tommy Rowlands, who rushed for 65 yards and one score. Rowlands was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.

Bishop Watterson didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Northwest to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Eagles have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.59 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.59 in their last three games.

Bishop Watterson's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Northwest, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Bishop Watterson is taking a road trip to square off against St. Charles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwest, they will host Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
