Basketball Game Preview: Cranston West Falcons vs. Portsmouth Patriots

It was a Battle of the Birds when Cranston West took on Barrington on Friday. Cranston West was dealt a 57-28 loss at the hands of Barrington. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Eagles are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Portsmouth was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 36-35 to La Salle Academy. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Portsmouth's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cranston West, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
