Bennett extends home losing streak to three

Recap: Bennett Tigers vs. Byers Bulldogs

The Bennett Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Byers at home and fell 67-34. Bennett was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-17.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Owen Stiers and Austin Stiers, who each put up eight points. Jayden Ivory held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Byers was led to victory by Zach Cary and Chase Long. Cary scored 16 points along with four steals, while Long scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The game was Cary's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Eacret, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.

Bennett bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Byers, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bennett's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Colorado Springs Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Colorado Springs Christian is ranked 250th, while Bennett is ranked 231st). As for Byers, they will be playing at home against Denver Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
