Softball Recap: Stagg Has No Trouble Against Bloom

Stagg never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Bloom on Tuesday. They blew past the Blazing Trojan 14-4. Considering the Chargers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Stagg's victory bumped their record up to 3-7-1. As for Bloom, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.

Coming up, Stagg will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lyons at 4:30 p.m. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.57 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bloom, they will head out to square off against Crete-Monee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blazing Trojan are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
