Volleyball Recap: Bridgeland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cypress Lakes on Tuesday, Bridgeland came back down to earth. The Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cypress Ranch Mustangs on Friday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Allison Sims paced Bridgeland's offense, picking up 16 kills. Sims got some help from Kennedy Boatman and her 22 assists.

Bridgeland's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 22-10. As for Cypress Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.

Bridgeland has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Cypress Woods on the 30th. As for Cypress Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Langham Creek on the 30th.
