Softball Recap: Mabel-Canton Cougars vs. Spring Grove Lions
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mabel-Canton had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top against the Spring Grove Lions by a score of 9-4. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 15-0 victory last Saturday.

Tylar Wenthold spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
